Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Health Advisor to be based in our London, ON site.  This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of a professional scope of responsibility. 

 

The Occupational Health Advisor is responsible for the occupational health case management and managing ability elements across our different divisions.  The key focus of the role is to promote, implement and manage a program that prevents and reduces employee absence due to illness and/or injury.  This position will require the coordination of occupational health and cross-functional activities to deliver a proactive service. As the subject matter expert, the successful incumbent will also serve as the primary contact for external stakeholders. 

 

The successful candidate will be required to provide robust face to face and telephonic case management.  Through independent and appropriate clinical advice in accordance with organizational practices and relevant legislation, individualized plans for workplace accommodation, safe rehabilitation and resettlement will be created and implemented.   This role acts primarily independently within appropriate professional guidelines, working in a team environment when required. 

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the CNO, and ideally hold a qualification within Occupational Health (Diploma or Degree Level).  A minimum of 2 years occupational health experience is required, preferably in a corporate environment.   Strong case management experience is essential.  You must be computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and be able to learn systems and processes. 

 

Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of successfully helping stay at / return to work.
