Our client is looking for a front end developer who has experience developing leading edge single page web applications that seamlessly work on mobile and desktop web browsers. This is an early role on a fast growing team where you will be a core part of the product development and deployment.

Our client is a digital health startup that is building a patient education and engagement platform to help people make better decisions on their health. They also seek to create new ways for doctors and patients to interact with each other. 

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain CheckedUp’s user facing features with Javascript, HTML, CSS

Integrate with the RESTful API that powers the CheckedUp CMS

Work closely with designers to define and refine the look and feel of CheckedUp’s interactions

Ensure that UI works flawlessly on all browsers and devices we support

Recommend and utilize robust new technology frameworks that will power more advanced user experiences

Skills & Requirements:

5+ years web development experience in a team environment

experience with Python and the Django web framework

experience with JSON REST services.

JavaScript including experience with frameworks like JQuery, AngularJS (preferred), Ember.js, or Backbone.js

HTML 5, CSS 3 (less/sass a plus)

Familiarity with templating languages (Django, Jinja2, Handlebars, etc.)

A strong sense of craftsmanship and an eye for fine details.

A strong Investment in providing users with the best possible experience.

The ability to balance high polish and getting things done.

The ability to ‘learn fast’ and deliver on short time frames.

An interest in the high level business goals and a sense of how your work fits into those goals.
