Job Description

• Provide superb technical system and user support

• Work with team to identify and design, propose and implement solutions, including writing recommendations, specifying equipment, and assisting with or directly writing proposals

• Troubleshoot and resolve client network and computer system issues, if needed

• Evaluate and set up proposed best solution for corporate "secure" infrastructure for email and calendars with clients in both Windows and Linux

• Coordinate installation, upgrade or deployment projects, including providing on-site direction for future network enhancements, if needed

• Work with team to evaluate Document Management systems to run on Linux and propose and present which one will be the best solution

• Setup and maintain internal network

• Mentor and assist others, if necessary

• Participate in pre-sales process, helping to explain to current clients and prospective clients the benefits of the specific technologies being proposed

• Maintain your knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies and by achieving appropriate industry and professional certifications

• Contribute to company vision and direction in helping improve technical practices, as well as choosing key technologies and issues to address as company grows and takes on more and more projects




• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• 3-5 years’ relevant experience.

• Proven customer service and problem solving skills, working face-to-face and on-site with customers

• Provides quality technical solutions and is very organized

• Excellent professionalism, communication and writing skills.

• Understands timelines and working under both time and budget constraints



Skills Set:

• Linux Server Experience

• VLANS-to set up Guest Network

• Local DNS

• MUST have strong experience and skills with Linux and clients in both Windows and Linux; Unix experience a plus

• Experience with scripts, automating network installs, etc

• Experience with configuring multiple Ethernet ports on different networks; Tunneling bridging, etc

• Deep experience and expertise in technologies such as backup systems, email systems, virus protection, desktop operating systems, network faxing, contact management, etc

• Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of IP protocols, firewalls and routers

• Experience configuring, installing and troubleshooting centralized network infrastructure such as routers, hubs, switches, etc

• Security experience would be a plus

• Needs to know Outlook for Email
