Job Description

The Project Manager works closely with an interdisciplinary team to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. He/she acquires resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager leads the efforts to define project objectives, timelines, resources, and budget and oversee quality control throughout the project’s lifecycle. He/she maintains comprehensive knowledge of the status, timelines, and budget for all tactics associated with a project or educational campaign and communicates that knowledge to team members. The Project Manager thinks strategically and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving to implement tactics according to predetermined timelines and budgets.

  • Assist in determining and refining project specifications
  • Assume overall responsibility for tracking and maintaining status of all projects concerning specifications, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Communicate clearly and frequently to inform team of changes; lead team communication plan; monitor and adjust as needed to ensure effective and efficient communication
  • Fully understand client business, objectives, and tactics
  • Schedule and run project team meetings to update project status on a weekly or as-needed basis
  • Prepare complex statements of work, with quick turnaround time and minimal revisions; create or review statement of work documentation; accountable for top-down and bottom-up budgets to ensure scopes accurately reflect required work effort
  • Review project detail reports weekly or as needed to identify incorrectly recorded project hours, potential performance issues, and potentially out-of-specification project hours; address as appropriate
  • Lead the effort to obtain appropriate resourcing to complete project according to plan and within budget
  • Ensure that all quality control measures are completed
  • Where applicable, communicate with clients concerning project support issues and changes

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of promotional medical communication and marketing initiatives, which include: advertising and education campaigns, advisory boards, promotional slide presentations and live educational programs, print materials, and digital initiatives
  • 3-5 years project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of healthcare is a strong plus
