Technical / Field Support Specialist ~ OH

Location:  Cincinnati, OH

Job Type:  Contract

 

Description: 

We need Technical Support Specialist for a 6 month Contract-to-Hire in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio (OH) area. Primary responsibility for this position entails providing telephone-based/on-line technical assistance and training to end-user customers and field sales reps regarding the installation, configuration, and issue resolution of wireless products, and hardware installation and customer training at client sites.

This position will require interfacing with Senior Technical Support Specialists, Application Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, company management, sales and others as required to resolve customer product installation, usage and support issues. This position requires travel and face-to-face interaction with clients.

Requirements: 

 

Technical Support Specialist Requirements:

  • Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge with Windows-based operating systems
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting computer hardware, computer software, and wireless network and communication devices
  • Knowledge of configuration & setup of Microsoft IIS Web Server
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of basic TCP/IP Networking and network troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of telephone service support in a technical environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have proficient oral, written and interpersonal skills as well as demonstrated customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ASP, ASP.NET, HTML, & XML a plus

 

 

Candidates Requirement:

  • 1 to 2 years of telephone service support in a technical environment with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting computer hardware, computer software, and wireless network and communication devices
  • Knowledge of configuration & setup of Microsoft IIS Web Server
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
