Job Description

We're looking to grow our Global Product Management team. GPM is at the center of our business, and the Product Management Assistant Engineer will work with the sales, engineering and marketing departments to support Tenergy products. 

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background and technical capabilities, is able to communicate effectively to different audiences, and can successfully manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities include:

1. Provide engineering support to sales team for project execution and product management.
2. Work closely with Quality Assurance on both new and existing products testing and sample approval.
3. Manage new product development and lifecycle, from concept to exit strategy, working with different departments to ensure successful and on-time product launches.
4. Create product plans for new products, based on market research and strategy.
5. Work with Marketing Department to make changes to product literature as needed.
6. Communicate with suppliers regarding product issues; Forecasts, Product Changes, etc.
7. Research market pricing and make recommendations for overall price changes.
8. Work with Engineering and Marketing Departments to establish, document and review customer pricing for various product groups.
9. Obtain and document product specifications on individual products. Work closely with Quality to develop Product Specification Sheets, Inspection Plans, and criteria.
10. Serve as a liaison to other departments on all product details.
11. Work with outside vendors to execute product development plans.
12. Manage existing products throughout lifecycle, including modifications and documentation.
13. Coordinate all packaging development for both new products and existing product updates.
14. Evaluate current product performance to determine marketability and action plan.
15. Prepare price quote for special projects.
16. Seek out new vendors and initiate Supplier Approval Process.
17. Off-the-shelf product sourcing.
18. Need to able to understand batteries and chargers with provided training. 

19. Working with customers directly or through sales to provide the best solution based on customer's requirement.    

Qualifications

Mandarin Chinese Bilingual Preferred, as this position will work directly with vendors in China

1. 3+ years of product or project management experience
2.  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field
3. Detail-oriented with excellent organization and prioritization skills;
4. Ability to handle multiple projects at one time effectively with poise and professionalism.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with outside vendors.
6. Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and project management tool.
7. Extensive knowledge & experience with product development and multiple forms of manufacturing.
8. Excellent project management skills
9. Ability to work independently
10. Ability to work as part of a cross-functional Team
11. Conflict resolution, Business Acumen, demonstrated ownership and willingness to go to extra miles to get things done.
