Accounting Assistant

Company Description

San Antonio advertising agency is looking for an accounting assistant. The ideal candidate will have a stable job history and three years’ experience in administration, processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and filing. This is a full time position, reporting to the agency accountant, with good salary, benefits and a great working environment.

Job Description

The duties of the position include the following but not are limited to:

  • enter and upload invoices into system
  • review and verify invoices and check requests
  • sort, code and match invoices
  • set invoices up for payment
  • track expenses and perform expense reports
  • prepare and perform check runs
  • maintain bank balance excel spreadsheet
  • monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • maintain vendor files
  • correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • assist the accountant with additional administrative needs including A/R, excel reporting, filing and human resources
  • cover the receptionist phones while receptionist is on break or away from the phones

Additional Information

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum: high school grad with three years’ of administrative experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
