This voluntary position requires a dynamic leader eager to assume both strategic and tactical responsibilities in the marketing of The Berrette Family Foundation and its individual services as well as the overall communications and outreach for the organization including message development and delivery. As the organization grows, Marketing and Communications will revise, update and execute a strategic, multi-audience marketing plan to further fundraising and sponsorship goals, in collaboration with the Assistant Director of High School Programs, Assistant Director of Collegiate Programs, VP of Finance, and CEO that are consistent with the brand.
The successful candidate will develop consistent messaging for all donor, investor and partner materials including case statements, talking points, fact sheets and presentations to support BFF’s fundraising, social investment and program activities. Providing marketing support for BFF hosted events, and identifying strategic, cost-efficient advertising and visibility-building opportunities to raise awareness among prospective donors and investors are also important parts of the role.
Marketing and Communications will design and execute an ambitious plan for 2012-13 and beyond to increase BFF’s visibility to local philanthropists and impact investors. Serving as spokesperson for BFF with the media, you will cultivate, maintain and track relationships at the local level.
You will work with our Agency of Record who executes the organization’s graphic design and collateral production. You will provide and proof content and oversee design of all core pieces of the BFF communications cycle including emails to our various email lists, newsletters, the annual report, website content, event collateral and presentations. Together you will implement and update BFF’s visual identity standards and manage the production of videos designed to tell the BFF story to key audiences.
Marketing and Communications also drafts, maintains and evaluates the budget for the department, and tracks key metrics on progress towards marketing and communications goals.
Represents BFF at events, meetings, conferences, and other industry and related activities
The Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications role is a 2 year commitment.
The Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications will stand as a steward of the organization.
All Board Members have annual fundraising commitments as set by the Director of Finance.
All Board Members are to adhere to the Board Member Contract which is supported by the By-Laws.
