Job Description

The Marketing Proposal Specialist works as part of a team and as such is responsible for providing proposal creation and support to both the Sales and Marketing Teams.  Acts as the point person for designated product lines which include preparing and tracking proposals and outgoing Requests for Proposals (RFP's) & Requests for Information (RFI's), designing and creating marketing materials and assisting the sales team as needed.  This is a high volume, production oriented & deadline driven position, where attention to detail is of the upmost importance.Should you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume and salary requirement

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    •  Acts as a point person for designated product lines (employee benefit & wellness plans) and prepares proposals by researching pricing as well as tracks proposals, responds to RFP's and questionnaires submitted by the Sales Team; has binding signature authority up to an assigned dollar amount.
    •  Coordinates the retirement plan implementation process to include, preparing the implementation proposal binder and the formal Boon PEA
    •  Reviews the binder and implementation checklist with the client and follows up to ensure all documents are signed and processed with the retirement plan vendor
    •  Assists in preparing health proposals, which includes complex computing of premiums, and makes plan revisions when the language changes
    •  Works with the team to create, design and implement individualized mail campaigns
    •  Provides administrative support for assigned product lines which may include: compiling of lead lists, copying, faxing, screening mail, and word processing
    •  Maintains hard copy and electronic filing systems and recordkeeping systems
    •  Creates and/or assists with creating graphic layouts, brochures, mailers, and branding production
    •  Prepares presentations, proposals, handouts, and other meeting and event materials
    •  Assists with department overflow and works overtime as needed based on business needs
    •  Completes special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 High School diploma or GED; some college preferred

    • 4 years previous administrative experience
    • 2 years of experience working in a Sales or Marketing department creating proposals highly preferred
    • Experience and skill in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Internet/Google, and Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat Professional)
    • Previous Sales, Marketing, and/or health insurance industry experience preferred
    • Previous experience in preparing proposals and calculating quotes highly desired

 

As Well As These Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    •  Attention to detail
    •  Knowledge of employee benefit products, i.e., medical, dental, retirement and wellness products highly desirable
    •  Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite products
    •  Skill in graphic design a plus
    •  Good communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to write business correspondence, emails and reports
    • Ability to calculate figures (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, etc.)
    •  Ability to be organized, manage multiple tasks simultaneously & to manage time and meet deadlines
    •  Ability to work as part of a team & to work overtime and occasional travel may be required
