Do you want to be part of something amazing? The Product Team is looking for a Jr. UI/UX Designer.
 
This is a full-time position located in Beverly Hills, CA.

As our next Jr. UI/UX Designer you will be responsible for creating compelling, innovative design solutions that demonstrate the power and value of rich Internet experiences. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to conceptualize, design, and prototype web features and applications, and contributes to design patterns and building blocks for application framework. Your  priority will be to meet user (and customer) needs in close partnership with product and engineering teams. You'll have a passion for solving problems and making complex systems of interaction fluid and easy to use. Above all, you are curious and eager to understand how things work and able to translate that into a compelling user experience.

Qualifications

  • Partner with engineering and product teams to wireframe and visually design features that are practical yet push boundaries
  • Translate requirements and deliver wireframes, logical flows, and specifications
  • Leverage modern web technologies to define innovative user interfaces and interaction models that result in improved user productivity and operational efficiency 
  • Understand and employ best practices for interaction designs, usability, and supporting technologies
  • Create high fidelity visual mockups
  • Optimize web applications for speed and usability

Is it YOU we are looking for?

 Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of user centered design processes and methods
  • Experience with Omnigraffle, Visio, Axure, Creative Studio, Balsamiq, Innvisionapp, or equivalent wire framing software
  • Expert in Adobe CS5+ or later
  • Interest in and aptitude for structure, organization, and terminology
  • Appreciation of the influence of interactive web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and industry trends on design and familiarity with the capabilities and limits of each
  • Ability to coordinate and track user stories, use cases, and design deliverables
  • Ability to engender trust and respect of peers and stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical internal clients

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience designing web applications
  • Experience developing and delivering successful, intuitive, and compelling user flows
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter who is comfortable with independently managing deadlines.
  • Portfolio and/or reel demonstrating relevant artistic skills required. Only online artwork submissions will be accepted (e.g. website, blog, or online album)
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design or a related field, or 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Coursework in or familiarity with usability and design principles
  • Coursework in or familiarity with software development practices, especially integrating UX into Agile methods
