Job Description

The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering against the company’s revenue targets for the catering business. This will be achieved by executing the company’s lead generation and sales strategies and working cross functionally with the Operations & Marketing groups to ensure seamless & happy customer experiences.    

  • Key Duties/responsibilities include (but may not be limited to) the following:
    •    Deliver profitable, topline revenue in line with company budgets and objectives for catering.
    •    Organize daily and weekly plans to meet with new and existing clients to solicit catering    business using techniques & tactics agreed upon by the catering leadership team.
    •    Build and develop strategy to meet and exceed sales revenue objectives.
    •    Ability to locate new clients through word of mouth, cold calling business groups as well as other methods such as LinkedIn and purchased lead lists.
    •    Effective cross functional collaboration with Operations and District Managers to ensure smooth execution of catering program and clear ownership over each part of the process.
    •    Create a “knowledge base” for the role by documenting processes, actions and winning strategies.
    •    Compile and analyzing sales figures & communicate insights/findings to team members and management.

Qualifications

•    2-4 years direct sales experience, catering sales preferred.
•    Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or any sales-focused major preferred but not required.
•    Very strong interpersonal & communication (written & verbal) skills.
•    Energetic, engaging and positive personality that demonstrates authentic passion for the brand.
•    Must be able to professionally present to a broad array of potential customers.
•    Ability to ask fact finding discovery questions and probe for additional business both in person as well as via phone calls.
•    Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of management and staff.
•    Must eat CHEESE.
