Job Description

Rock Creek is looking for graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in the world of finance, have a desire to acquire hands-on experience, and are comfortable working in a flat, tight-knit team environment. Successful candidates are entrepreneurial and capable of working well under pressure. The objectives of the Summer Analyst Program is as follows:

  • Develop an understanding of the inner workings of an institutional asset management firm
  • Receive personalized mentorship from senior partners and analysts of Rock Creek
  • Receive valuable Bloomberg Terminal training and other technical experience
  • Engage in manager due diligence by completing qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Become immersed in global markets and macroeconomic news flow

Qualifications

Desired Skills/Experiences:

  • A strong academic record with a well-rounded set of extra-curricular and/or athletic experiences
  • An interest in (and preferably a familiarity with) investing, financial markets, global economics and geopolitics
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills, and a positive team-oriented approach to projects
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills; competence using Microsoft Excel
  • A familiarity with Computer Science principals (including coding, programming and visualization) is a strong plus
