Job Description

IT Operations

  • Oversee IT operations including IT infrastructure, communication (LAN, WAN, email, VoIP, etc.), backup, security systems, disaster recovery (DR),  IT compliance
  • Ensure high availability of critical business systems
  • Troubleshoot, support, and maintain all computing infrastructure including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, VMWare, SAN, backup, disaster recovery and phone systems
  • Address day-to-day requests within helpdesk ticketing system

IT Security

  • Manage firewall configuration, intrusion detection systems, log management, file access controls
  • Mitigate risk related to  data breaches and cyber attacks
  • Develop security incident management plans and ensure that all technology-related projects meet defined security requirements

Modernization & Cloud Transformation

  • Maintain strategic familiarity with cloud technologies (including: Office 365); transition to the cloud through IaaS and PaaS
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services & Microsoft Azure 

Network Administration

  • Plan, design, implement and maintain server configurations, network configurations and storage environments  
  • Configure server backups, monitor network use statistics and loads, and implement contingency plans to minimize downtime

User Support & Services

  • Set up hardware and software, troubleshoot technical issues
  • Support team members with hands on technical assistance for day-to-day computing concerns
  • Manage an efficient helpdesk system with accurate problem tracking, timely resolution and post resolution documentation

IT Procurement

  • Manage the purchasing of technology-related assets and analyze the point at which hardware/software should be replaced, based on total cost of ownership (TCO) and capabilities/features
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors in support of staff augmentation and systems support

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the applicable field  such as  computer science, information systems or engineering  
  • Solid experience in network administration with Windows services; to include knowledge of TCP/IP, network security, antivirus and anti-spam techniques
  • Proven evidence of strong skills with the following or similar systems: Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows Server; Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VoIP phone systems; EqualLogic, VMware, Cloud Services
  • Familiarity with desktop, notebook, handheld and server computer hardware

  • Proven experience in IT Services planning, organization and development
  • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems
  • Experience with enterprise cloud transformations, including IaaS, virtual machines, and hybrid virtual networks
  • Experience in implementing cloud email, office productivity, and other cloud communications services
  • Industry certifications including CISSP, ITIL, CISM, Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware are a plus
