Job Description

The Role in Brief:

We are looking to add a reporting analyst to our team. This position is highly cross-functional, working with Portfolio Managers, Client Services, Software Systems, the Legal /Compliance team, the Accounting Department, and the Risk/Portfolio Analytics team to produce reports for internal investment analysis as well as for external financial clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, and auditors with accuracy, consistency and timeliness. This position requires knowledge of relational databases and SQL to query financial data from multiple databases. This data will then be aggregated, analyzed, and presented. 

This team member will utilize report building tools and software programming skills to efficiently produce both static and interactive reports with text and visualizations. They will communicate with various teams to understand the structure of database systems, data flow and timing, idiosyncrasies of data, and requirements of individual clients. Additionally, they will identify broad patterns and leverage software engineering principles such as change control and abstraction to streamline the report production process and ensure high quality across deliverables.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database, and writing queries and views in SQL.
  • An interest in finance and global markets.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Background in finance
  • Familiarity with reporting software such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience with Python and HTML/JavaScript
