Job Description

The Rock Creek Group is looking for students who are curious about the world of finance, have a desire to acquire hands-on experience, and are comfortable working in a flat, tight-knit team environment. You will learn from experts in Hedge Fund diligence, risk management, emerging market investing, and portfolio management from prime office space in Dupont Circle.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop an understanding of the inner workings of an institutional asset management firm
  • Receive personalized attention from senior partners and analysts of The Rock Creek Group
  • Receive valuable Bloomberg Terminal training and experience 
  • Assist the investment and emerging markets teams in performing investment diligence and strategy papers
  • Participate in meaningful ‘deep-dive’ projects across the risk, investment, and emerging markets teams
  • Participate in meetings with some of the industry’s most famous and successful Hedge Fund managers

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For


  • A stellar academic record with a well-rounded set of extra-curricular and/or athletic experiences
  • An interest in (and preferably a familiarity with) investing, financial markets, and global economics, and geopolitics
  • Competence using Microsoft Excel 
  • Strong writing and communication skills 
  • A problem solving and positive team-oriented approach to projects
