Job Description

Residential Houseparent positions are salaried at $34,305/annual for short shift, or $38,830/annual for long shift.  Houseparents can bring their pet to live with them while on campus!

HOURS 

This is a LIVE-IN position for half of the week. You will work one of the following shifts:

  • Short-Shift: Wednesday 9am through Saturday at 5pm
  • Long-Shift: Saturday 4pm through Wednesday at 1pm

DUTIES (partial list) 

  • Live on-site half of the week--Houseparents have private, fully furnished bedrooms/bathrooms
  • Supervision and care of residents to insure their safety and health
  • Plan and implement recreational, leisure, and enrichment activities
  • Document daily activities and significant incidents 
  • Maintain a therapeutic mindset during every interaction 
  • Dispense medications, as needed

Qualifications

  • Residential staff must be female. If you are a male and interested in working here, please see our full time non-residential openings.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license and no history of DWI/DUI within 10 years
  • Must be able to pass an FBI fingerprint background check and drug screen per State Licensing standards
  • Must meet employment standards set forth by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services

Additional Information

Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Must be able to lift and/or exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
