Network engineers work under the direction the Manager of Network Services. This position requires experience with and an in-depth working knowledge of networking as well network system components (Servers, desktops, routers, firewalls, etc.). In addition, must exhibit mastery of server administration.  Special certifications are required. The Network Engineer II title will be awarded based on experience and capacity at this level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and support local and wide area networks.
2. Specify and install new hardware, software, and systems at client locations with no supervision.
3. Perform network assessments
4. Perform gap analyses to compare client IT environments against “best practices” and/or other compliance criteria.
5. Prepares meaningful and well written technology plans and recommendations for clients.
6. Assist with developing technology budgets
7. Act as a designated “Primary Engineer” for several clients and a “Second Engineer” for others.  Understands the importance of this role being “on-call” for client emergencies 24x7 on a best efforts basis.
8. Maintains thorough documentation on client networks he/she is on the team of.
9. Responsible for overall client management for those assigned as a primary. Develops positive working relationships with all clients.
10. Stays current on technology.
11. Adheres to TTG & WH policies.
12. Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of network security and keeping client’s systems up to best security standards.
13. Research is thorough in supporting resolutions of all issues.
14. Thorough understanding of the Firm's full range of client services as well as Firm mission and goals.
15. Addresses client concerns in a timely manner.
16. Quality is consistently demonstrated in all aspects of work
17. Demonstrates effective and appropriate delegation of work to staff.

Associate degree in Computer Networking from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent years of experience. Five years minimum experience working in a Microsoft Server Environment required. Certification Requirement – One of the Following MCITP, Server Administrator; Cisco CCNA.   Certification Options: Additional Microsoft Server-Level Exams/Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Exchange 2010). Other options as approved by partner.  Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be able to multi-task and have excellent follow-up abilities. Ability to read, speak and write English.

Travel is limited mostly to Connecticut.
