Due to a secondment, we now have the opportunity to have a new Medical Programme Directorate Systems Coordinator join us on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a varied role that primarily focuses on navigating the University systems and providing technical advice and support for the Medical Programme Directorate and its functions. 

You will get exposure to a number of projects and work across a number of departments, schools and the faculty.  

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity  

Situated within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, the Medical Programme Directorate is a small, friendly, supportive team of both academic clinicians and professional staff, responsible for the administration of the medical programme.

This position involves providing technical advice and administration including:

  • Administration and regular maintenance of the MBChB portal which is one of the key sources of information for MBChB students
  • Monitoring of student compliance with internal programme requirements (eg. Immunisation status reports) as well as external legislation such as the Vulnerable Children’s Act (VCA)
  • Managing and providing technical support for the completion of electronic Clinical Supervisor Reports (eCSR)
  • Being responsible for digitally maintaining student records

You will be a highly organised tech-savvy people person who has the ability to build positive relationships across a large organisation. 

You will have had experience previously working in an administrative role and be able to showcase your continuous improvement focus. While you do not need prior experience working in the Faculty of Medical and Health Science, you will be confident in your ability to understand new information as you work towards becoming the subject matter expert in our portal and systems. 

Candidates should have advanced computing skills underpinned by excellent communication skills. In addition, a proactive attitude, confidence, a willingness to learn and adapt, and a strong commitment to quality in customer service is needed.

Please note the salary for this role varies between $53,300 to $66,500 depending on experience.
