We are looking for candidates to submit their expression of interest to register in our Temp Pool for temporary Reception roles across the University.

The length of agreement could be for 4 weeks or a couple of months in length with both full and part-time hours, depending on the reason for the temp request.

Dependent on the role, tasks of a temp can include:

  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Responding to queries both internally and externally
  • Screening forms/questionnaires as students/visitors come in
  • Booking couriers and organising catering
  • Use management systems
  • Creating invoices
  • Scanning, filing and photocopying
  • Fielding and transferring phone calls
  • Monitoring departmental Outlook inbox
  • Assisting a team through a range of administrative

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting others and make their day easier. In addition, the following experience and skills are ideal: 

  • With at least one to two years proven experience in customer service or front desk
  • Experience working under pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to hit the ground running and can work independently
  • Organised, good attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing demands
  • A people-person- someone who is friendly and comfortable in communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a mature approach to questions/conversations
  • Strong computer literacy, with the ability to learn new systems with ease
