Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences seeks to appoint a Research Programme Coordinator to join the School of Population Health Research Services team. Our Research Programme Coordinators are responsible for supporting academics, with effective project coordination, navigation of research support services and operational pre and post-award support.

Alongside your team and Research Programme Manager, you will:

  • Provide exemplary operational research support to allocated researchers throughout the research lifecycle, navigating researchers to the appropriate functions
  • Provide support and advice to researchers on the development of funding proposals, including initial budget costing, collecting relevant information and approvals enabling them to submit high-quality proposals needed to secure research funding.
  • Assist with monitoring the project budget, including variations of active projects and closure.
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of research grants providing both financial and non-financial post-award support, ensuring that researchers meet their contracted obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate University and Funder policies, guidelines and protocols.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across the University and with key external stakeholders offering exceptional, customer-focused service.

This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent role.
Remuneration: $63,000 plus dependent on experience.
