Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are looking for a new team member to support our Inclusive Learning service

Inclusive Learning is a small specialised service which supports and empowers neurodivergent students. You will be primarily responsible for: 

  • Providing individualised academic and learning support to neurodivergent students (via in-person and online consultations). 
  • Screening students who present with issues that might indicate a learning disability and referring them to appropriate external assessors. 
  • Developing and coordinating workshops, peer groups, study sessions, and events.
  • Communicating academic accommodations and possible support mechanisms for students. 
  • Developing and maintaining online resources in Canvas.

This is a part-time, 26.25 hours per week, on a permanent contract. The salary range for this role is $83,300  - $102,900 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

He kōrero mōu | About you

You will be dealing with many students in a frontline capacity; you will have a working knowledge of assistive technology such as Grammarly and Office 365; and you will have an awareness of support services for English as additional language students.

This role will suit someone who is resilient, agile, and able to operate in a complex and busy environment.

A background in supporting neurodivergent students and a relevant postgraduate qualification are essential.
