An exciting opportunity is available at our largest centre, Te Ako o Te Tui, a purpose-built centre offering a modern open-plan design filled by natural light. Its Grafton Campus location is conveniently located and offers a nurturing environment for our tamariki. In this role, you will be primarily be focused on our infants and toddlers. 

With fantastic teacher to child ratios, a competitive salary above full pay parity (plus a $5-8k leadership allowance), additional sick leave, a Christmas shutdown period – plus plenty of other staff benefits – the University of Auckland is the place to be.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) permanent position. 
Centre opening hours: 7.30am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday.

Remuneration: from $59,366 to $99,725 per annum, based on pay parity assessment level, plus an additional $5-8k leadership allowance.

He kōrero mōu | About you

To flourish in this role, you will have:  

  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar leadership role
  • A Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE) with current Full Teacher Certification.
  • A Strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy, and curriculum, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education.
  • Thorough knowledge of current ECE Regulations and a steadfast commitment to compliance.
  • A positive attitude, sense of humour, and mature leadership style grounded in empathy and understanding.
