Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer that can hit the ground running in a fast paced, quickly growing environment. ThreatConnect SEs provide pre-sales support and guidance to customers, and collaborate with Area Directors to recommend and develop appropriate customer platform offerings. The SE is a trusted advisor and is looked to as an expert in implementing Threat Intelligence Platforms by the account team, channel partners and customers. Our platform is superior to the competition’s products, and the SE’s primary job is to be able to articulate why and demonstrate how.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers. 

Build, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot ThreatConnect instances, and required integrations, as part of the customer evaluation process

Present platform use-cases and overviews to customers in face-to-face settings and online forums

Educate customers on the technical capabilities/features of the platform and research customer specific requirements to ensure alignment

Educate the customer on Threat Analysis best practices and methodology using the market leading analysis platform, ThreatConnect

Respond to requests for proposal and information in both oral and written formats

Act as an interface between the Sales organization and technical staff to resolve technical issues related to evaluations and/or customer requirements

Provide feedback on opportunities and field activities to Sales, Product Management and Engineering

Understand the customer’s requirements and how to map those to the Threat Intelligence Platform, including identification of improvement areas in using Threat Intelligence to make better decisions

Qualifications

Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent experience with 7+ years pre-sales experience in the computer network security industry


Strong working knowledge of Linux administration, configuration & networking. Be able to configure and troubleshoot Java and Python application environments. Development or scripting in JavaScript or Python is a big plus.


Experience in working with VMs - building, maintaining, managing proof of concepts.


Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives


Exceptional written communication. This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of ThreatConnect products and solutions


Understand and be conversant about ThreatConnect competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats


Some overnight travel throughout the region is required

Incident Response - Workflow procedures, evidence gathering, chain of custody handling


Sandboxing - Open Source and Commercial solutions: GFI, Cuckoo


Network Security - Firewalls, IDS / IPS, HTTP/SSL Proxies


SOC Operations - SIEMs (ArcSight / Splunk), Ticketing systems (Remedy), Endpoint solutions


Virtualization Technology - VMware, Citrix, HyperV, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure


System Administration – Linux, basic networking, troubleshooting, reviewing log files, etc.
