Tipico is establishing a program management office to support its next phase of growth.This newly formed department will coordinate and support a number of value creation initiatives that have recently been started and moderate the dialogue between management teams and shareholders. The project manager role is an ideal position to get broad exposure across all elements of Tipico’s business with the option to deep dive into supporting selected projects.

Job Description

As the role requires a lot of traveling, we are open to having the candidate located in any of our offices, Malta, Frankfurt, Munich, Karlsruhe

Project management

  • Supporting the definition of scope, goals, deliverables, costs, timescales, plans,
    dependencies, resource requirements and milestones
  • Ensuring pre-scope project plan is communicated to all project stakeholders together with their individual responsibilities
  • Providing effective management support to project teams on all work streams
  • Co-ordination of publication, review and sign-off of major deliverables
  • Ensuring project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against
    time and cost, and resource utilization is monitored
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to the management team and all stakeholders
  • Managing project risks, issues and change control, communicating the impact to the project
  • Monitoring projects against time, budget and other standards

Governance & Control

  • Implement governance standards across the value creation project, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of deliverables
  • Attend Project Review meetings to identify key areas of improvement
  • Manage the project level risks and issues register
  • Carry out assurance review processes as required by the PMO Head
  • Liaise with staff across the group so that standards are implemented consistently across the group

Planning, Reporting & Control

  • Work with the PMO Head to develop value creation tracking and best practices across the group
  • Organize workshops to identify areas of improvement for projects, documenting recommendations and presenting them to the management team
  • Build up a repository of project templates both technical and management to support the KPI owners
  • Continue to evolve the processes and templates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implement project standards across all projects in the group
  • Update and administer the program plan as required using reports and board level meetings and workshops
  • Manage communications from the PMO including regular reporting cycle requests
  • Prepare consolidated material from project reports for monthly review
  • Complete and distribute monthly portfolio level reports.

Post-Project

  • Conducting or contributing to post implementation reviews and identifying any lessons learned
  • Feeding carry-forward items back into the program plan

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and to make recommendations on strategies to resolve issues
• Demonstrated ability to use professional management and/or technical concepts to solve complex problems and oversee key projects in creative and effective ways is required
• Demonstrated ability to motivate self and others, has the ability to mentor and coach others
