Job Description
Help shape the future of recycling
Are you passionate about sustainability and innovation? We are looking for a dedicated Recycling Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of technical innovation - developing and testing prototypes for our state-of-the-art sorting machines.
From feasibility studies and lab testing to global field trials and handover to production, you will play a key role throughout the entire product development cycle. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do - you’ll work closely with a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that’s committed to making a global impact.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and test technical prototypes all the way to industrialized sorting machines:
- Manage technical projects for assigned development initiatives
- Train production and service teams on newly developed machines
- Support global field trials and market launches directly at customer sites

- Conduct feasibility studies for new recycling applications
- Work with lab, test, and analysis equipment
- Evaluate new hardware, software tools, and sensor technologies
- Ensure final approval and release of prototypes for production
Qualifications
- Master or diploma degree in waste management, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in recycling processes.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanical design.
- Eagerness to stay updated on emerging trends in sensor-based technology
- Familiarity with project management and industrial economics is a plus.
- Experience with statistical analysis using Python is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Fluent in English, with at least basic proficiency in German.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be located close to Mülheim-Kärlich.
