Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Software Level II Support Team. The Software Engineer will support the entire Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions application portfolio.  The Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions Level II Software Support team provides world class support to our retail and Point of Sale clients around the world.  We seek highly motivated, energetic, and independent Software Engineers that can also work in a collaborative team environment to help resolve client software issues.  


Responsibilities of the Software Engineer in Level II Support Include:  


  • Interacting with customers on a daily basis 
  • Updating problem management records 
  • Reviewing documentation associated with a customer problem 
  • Opening defects and working closely with the Level III Software /Development 
  • Recreating customer problems 
  • Acting as the customer advocate for issues reported to Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions


Required Skills and Expertise: 


  • C++, SQL, and Java Programming skills. 
  • Can develop code, but prefers to support it 
  • Able to develop tools to be used to automate tasks in support. 
  • Can learn a wide variety of retail concepts and how our applications support those concepts. 
  • Good memory retention. 
  • Great problem solving skills. 
  • Attention to detail and sense of urgency to solve customer problems quickly. 
  • Applications range from ACE along with other retail POS to Middleware and Self Checkout.
