ToutApp is looking for a talented Performance Engineer to join our team. Do you obsess over making applications lightning fast and you will do whatever it takes to speed things up? You’ll be an integral member of ToutApp’s Engineering team responsible for the end to end performance of the ToutApp application including debugging, measuring, analyzing, and improving both end user performance of our software as well as server utilization. You will have the opportunity to architect and build our performance testing infrastructure from the ground up. We also wear a lot of hats here so you will have the opportunity to go beyond core performance engineering and branch out into other areas of software engineering.

Responsibilities/ What You'll Be Doing: 

• Design performance test infrastructure and processes from the ground up
• Performance test planning, setup, and execution
• Test scripting and test data management 
• Capacity estimating, modeling, or planning 
• Application and architecture code profiling 
• Infrastructure and application performance tuning 
• Diving in wherever else you are needed to help the engineering team

Requirements/ What We're Looking For: 

• 5+ years of experience in software development and performance engineering 
• Deep understanding of software, hardware, networking, and the internet 
• Technical degree or equivalent experience 
• Ability to distill volumes of data, analyzes performance results, and diagnoses performance problems 
• Ability to clearly characterize system performance to engineering and business leaders
• Collaborative team player 
• Excellent communication skills and attitude
• Willingness to learn and explore new technologies 
• Willingness to interact with customer when the code breaks in production
