As a QA Engineer you’ll be an integral member of our Engineering team and have a strong technical background, an extreme attention to detail and a strong discipline around streamlining repetitive tasks and experience using automation tools. As a member of the real-time service Engineering team, you’ll work on solving important problems on a platform that requires a broad range of technical skills

Job Description

Responsibilities/ What You'll Do:

  • Designing testing stories that ensure every release is stable and reliable
  • Drive our automated test framework and continuous integration strategy and implementation from the ground up
  • Implement automated component, API, and UI level tests
  • Collaborating with the rest of the team to map out features and improvements to our user experience.
  • Learn the ins and outs of the platform so when a new release is ready for testing you know exactly which critical areas of the app need to be tested and have a pre-built task list for covering them
  • Dive into the codebase to isolate and identify issues based on input from the success team
  • Drive the overall testing strategy and test architecture

Qualifications

Requirements/ What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of QA experience, 4+ years in a technical role
  • Strong working knowledge of Ruby, Java, or other relevant object-oriented programming language
  • Computer Science or equivalent degree or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of web development and one or more relevant frameworks
  • Experience with bug tracking test suite tracking tools
  • Experience with all types of automation and associated frameworks - unit tests, API Tests, Component Tests, UI Tests
  • A critical, detail-oriented eye for design and interaction, you aren’t afraid to argue for a user experience if it feels off.
  • Able to identify repetitive tasks and find a process to speed them along to spend more time on the interesting problems
  • Highly-motivated individual with comfort multi-tasking and being in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Selenium and similar automation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and attitude
  • Willingness to learn and explore new technologies
