Are you a star DevOps engineer looking for some massive challenges in scale, system architecture, and monitoring?

We need a DevOps engineer with strong Amazon Web Services experience. You will create cloud formation templates to build AWS services that support our Ruby on Rails application. 

In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems. Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.

Responsibilities/ What You'll Do:

• Extend existing provisioning and deployment automation for our AWS stack
• Resolve production issues related to infrastructure
• Determine ways of leveraging AWS services to replace in-house or other 3rd party components (if appropriate)
• Collaborate with site and service developers to meet overall operational goals
• You will collaborate with the product engineering team to define and develop operational features, tools and processes including:
• Create automation tools and deployments to maintain servers, databases, continuous integration systems, etc..
• Support and maintain all operational activities related to production, development, and test environments

Requirements/ What We're Looking For:

• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
• Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use Redis)
• A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
