Job Description

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Sales, Marketing, and Service Internship (MI) Program will provide you with an opportunity to spend up to 12-weeks in our New Jersey field office gaining relevant work experience with a globally respected company. The internship will support three key areas; Sales, Sales Training, and Fixed Operations. Day-to-day work may include, but is not limited to:

  • Sales – Creation and development of key sales reports, tracking new and Toyota Certified Used Vehicle Sales. Shadow a District Sales Manager for exposure to weekly contacts, Toyota Vehicle Order Meetings and Toyota Dealer Advertising Association Meetings.
  • Sales Training – Creation and development of vehicle information presentations. Shadow a Vehicle Product Training Specialist during in-dealership and new vehicle launch training.
  • Fixed Operations – Creation and development of key metrics for parts & accessory sales, retention indices and Toyota Care redemption rates. Shadow a District Parts & Service Manager for exposure to weekly contacts and /or warranty audits.

This internship may lead to an opportunity to be considered for the Sales, Marketing and Service Trainee (MT) Program. 

Field Office Location: Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. 16 Henderson Rd, West Caldwell, New Jersey 07006

NOTE: The internship does not include relocation benefits. All interested candidates must be able to commute to a regional office.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing and available to commute to our New York Region field office, in West Caldwell, N.J. 
  • Graduating in Winter ’15 or Spring ’16 with a degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related.
  • Candidates must also possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+.
  • Must be able to display strong interpersonal skills, ability to “think on one’s feet,” effective customer service skills, and proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Dealership experience or automotive industry experience is a plus.
