Job Description

We are looking for a localization manager to support the tradeshift website team as it expands its geographical footprint. Although the localization manager will report to the Senior Director of Digital Experience and focus on the website, s/he will support all localization activities within the Brand team which includes design and content. 

  • Manages localization projects from beginning to end, working closely with localization agency, field marketing reviewers and web development team.
  • Develops project plans and workflows, managing time, budget, resources and quality control
  • Manages team’s compliance with standards, practices and policies
  • Works closely with localization agency and international partners to manage TM, glossaries, and other relevant assets in order to assure international sites are on brand.
  • Works closely with agency and partners to resolve any QA issues, both technical and linguistic.
  • Manages CMS updates for international sites.
  • Continually expands knowledge and education in localization trends and news, keeping up to date through active participation in training opportunities.

Qualifications

Education and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization and localization
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience directly related to project management (preferably in the localization industry)

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proven abilities in project planning, resource and risk management
  • Strong team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proficiency in translation memory tools (Trados, SDLX) 
  • Hands on experience with Globalization Management Systems, such as WorldServer and SDL TMS
  • Advanced Excel skills a big plus (formulas, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables, etc.)
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese
