About the Globalisation Team :
Tradeshift is looking for a Copenhagen-based, outstanding developer to join our Globalisation R&D team. You will become a member of a small, highly skilled team that sets the direction and standards for the internationalisation of Tradeshift products. You are the consultant on globalisations topics for other teams in the company.
What you will be doing:
Creating reusable components (libraries, services) to be used by other teams to solve their globalisation-related needs in an agile manner
Developing and maintaining globalisation-related infrastructure
Proposing and implementing improvements on other team's codebases
Consulting and educating other developers about globalisation (best practices, etc.)
Researching, implementing and maintaining regional business logic required for compliance purposes
Continuously researching the topic and the state-of-art
Deep understanding of globalisation and internationalisation problems
Ability to consult engineers in the field of globalisation.
Willingness to contribute to code bases of several teams
A keen interest in researching the latest trends and technologies on globalisation
Fluent in English
Deep Knowledge of Unicode: Code points, encoding schemes, normalisation forms
Knowledge of related technical standards in this field such as
IETF BCP 47, ISO 639, 3166 and 8601
Previous experience with the ICU library
Previous experience in the compliance area
Being comfortable with Linux/Unix and the command line
Experience with Angular and React
Experience with TDD and/or BDD
Working experience in structured development and build environments (continuous integration, automated testing, automated configuration and deployment)
