Role

We’re looking for an individual to make our team better.  You'll be working with the VP of People Operations, focusing on defining and delivering our Workday strategy and utilizing Workday to the benefit of Tradeshift and our employees.  We will also rely on you to lead the efforts and strategy around all of our People Analytics. We are on an exciting journey and anticipate widening our geographical footprint significantly in the coming years.

What a day is like:

  • We’ve decided to use Workday as our core HRIS; you need to enjoy getting hands-on with Workday, providing and implementing a strategy around how to best utilize these (and other) systems, and proposing business process improvements/automation.
  • We’ll empower you, with that, you’ll get to communicate recommendations on future initiatives and functionality; influence stakeholders, but we’d expect you to use data and interpretation of findings to support your positions.
  • You’ll get to drive all People system changes to support the evolving needs of a great company growing really fast.
  • We always want to be better, so you will get to continually audit systems (Workday, SmartRecruiters, etc.) functionality and data, ensuring the data is good and things are working well.
  • You will Identify process challenges and implement appropriate corrections or improvements with associated training of the teams, back to the empowerment theme.
  • Think globally.  Work with our colleagues across the globe to ensure compliance with global privacy regulations. You’ll learn a lot in the process too.
  • Collaborate with everyone, but especially with the Business Applications, Payroll, Benefits and Recruiting teams to identify needs and functionality improvements in all People systems/tools.
  • In general, you get to make things better every day, if you are up for it.

Qualifications

You’re perfect for this role if you:

You have exceptional experience working in Workday. Having worked on 1 implementation in a consulting environment and 1 implementation on the client-side. At a minimum, 1 full cycle, start to finish implementation from either side.

You also have:

  • Because you’ll be one of our “go-to” people for systems, you’ll need to be nice, really nice.
  • Passion for your work.  We need you to love what you do.
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing Workday post-go-live, to include Core HCM, Benefits, and Payroll
  •  Key Workday skills include report writing and calculated field abilities, managing simple integrations, Inbound and outbound EIBs and Business Process configuration skills 
  • Talk so people can understand what you are trying to say, some call this interpersonal and communication skills; use this to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Work effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals by finding ways to help the team perform effectively, a good way to do this is by contributing ideas.
  • Willingness to streamline processes, creating efficiencies and improving accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and function as a dependable team player. This may be last, but it’s really important.  We work as a team here, you’ll be part of the team and we will be counting on you, and we’ll do our best to support you too.
