Job Description

Team 

Tradeshift is looking for a Head of Tax.  We are headquartered in San Francisco and are looking for a tax professional with 15+ years of experience specifically with international tax. The position includes managing the global tax compliance with various third-party providers, tax controversy, M&A tax and global transfer pricing.  This position will report directly to Carrie Dolan who recently joined Tradeshift as CFO.  Our CFO is a huge supporter of the Tax Department and always brings the tax team in early on projects/deals and provides the best tax intro to any executive meeting.  As we move down the path to IPO, this person will play a critical role in building out our Corporate Finance Infrastructure.

Qualifications

You’re perfect for this role if you:

  • Manage global income tax reporting (tax provision) & compliance functions

  • Manage global transfer pricing & intercompany transaction documentation

  • Manage all tax aspects of company’s localizations in new countries 

  • Manage global tax controversies & audits

  • Coordinate special projects, such as R&D tax credit studies & similar incentives globally

  • Conduct active monitoring of legislative developments & systematic upward communication with senior leadership

  • Business tax advisory (transactional, structuring, new business models)

  • M&A tax planning & integration

  • Tax systems implementation (associated with a new marketplace) 

  • Support global accounting team on various statutory audits, insurance, banking & regulatory compliance issues.
