Job Description

We’re looking for an individual to make our People Team better.  You'll be defining and delivering our learning programs to the benefit of Tradeshift and our employees across the globe.  We will also rely on you to lead the efforts and strategy around all of our learning initiatives in partnership with the VP of People. 

What you will be doing:

We’re looking to do things differently, to be bold and always looking for a way to be better; to build others up, and provide the tools and resources they need to achieve greatness. This position will work closely with department leads and members of the People team to create, deliver, and manage both self-paced and instructor-led learning content.

 Specifically, you will: 

  • Make an impactful difference in the lives of each person in the company.

  • Directly have a hand in building and scaling a Learning and Development program.

  • Influence and implement ideas to grow our workforce and develop employees, which should be your passion.

  • Create and manage new programs that directly influence the Tradeshift culture and employee development (career path development, competency models). Done well, this will have a major impact on our business.

  • Given the rapid change to remote working, being able to deliver training on-site is important, but delivering effective learning virtually is even more important, the virtual classroom is in our immediate future (Zoom).

  • We believe it’s important to focus on the business, so efficient and effective scheduling of training offerings to meet business needs will be essential.

  • Content is king and it’s crucial that you are able to create, maintain, and update training curriculum to align with things that will be impactful for the business and individuals.

  • We believe feedback is essential to continued improvement, we will expect you to seek feedback and measure results to ensure all training is effective.  Because no one is perfect, you’ll be expected to make adjustments where necessary, based on feedback.  

  • Consistent and repeatable training processes and programs in all offices will be our ideal objective.

  • Serve as a coach and mentor for employees, putting the needs of others before your own.

  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders by ensuring ongoing communication & reporting. In simple terms, be easy to work with and collaborate.

Qualifications

We realize not everyone can check every box; however, most of these should be in your realm of expertise.

  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate learning and training programs.

  • 3+ years’ experience in building and managing eLearning and online training content.

  • 3+ years’ experience facilitating in-person training and new employee onboarding.

  • Understanding how to best utilize OKRs is desirable.

  • Experience in SaaS or Fintech is preferred.

  • Experience with Appreciative Inquiry would be really good.

  • Energy and passion for developing others in new and innovative ways.

  • Able to display a clear ability to speak publically, engage an audience, and drive content retention. Folks should not be bored in your programs/sessions.

  • Understanding of transformative learning, brain science, blending learning models, and opinions on how to utilize each effectively.

  • Ability to Identify which blended training solutions are most appropriate to deliver the best impact on quality metrics.

  • Experience of digital approaches and resources that can be used for remote training

  • You’ll have a lot of things going on, so the ability to effectively manage deployment and ongoing support for multiple projects is important.

  • It should go without saying that an excellent work ethic, a strong team player, and the ability to meet deadlines are table stakes.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Able to travel to global offices when travel restrictions are lifted and deemed safe again.
