As part of Global Accounting/Consolidation group, this position will lead the US General Ledger team & be the go-to-person for consolidations of Tradeshift Holdings, Inc., and worldwide subsidiaries.
This position will be an integral part of the monthly close process and provide support to preparation of the monthly and year-end financial statements.
The US GL Manager will work under the supervision and guidance of the VP Global Accounting.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, Netsuite expertise is a must, and robust experience of monthly close process involving consolidation of parent and subsidiaries, including translation of foreign currency transactions/balances of subsidiaries to U.S. dollar reporting basis.
The candidate must be detail oriented, have strong organization
and problem solving skills, be a team player, and be very hands-on.
SaaS Software accounting experience and CPA certification are a plus.
Specific responsibilities include:
Review and reconcile transactions and balances related to bank account transactions, fixed assets, prepaids/accruals, payroll and preparing related JEs monthly
Perform monthly and quarterly close activities in Netsuite
Consolidation area, including performing running revaluation and translation of foreign currencies trial balances in Netsuite monthly
Responsible for global intercompany confirmations, eliminations, and analysis.
Prepare and review monthly JEs and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for US, Canada, Malaysia and Australia entities
Gather and provide information to support weekly/periodic cashflow analyses and forecasts
Perform maintenance on GL chart of accounts and foreign exchange rates maintenance
Support the annual audit with external auditors by preparing and reviewing audit schedules and responding to requests and inquiries for responsible areas
Partner with all levels of the Finance Organization to drive and deliver results and create synergy
Proactively seek and implement ways to improve processes, quality and efficiency
Perform other ad-hoc tasks and duties as assigned by management
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related area
Minimum 8 to 10+ years experience of General ledger and consolidation accounting and financial reporting experience
CPA Certification highly preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Corporate experience in multi-national, multi-currency company (required).
Hands on experience with Netsuite system REQUIRED, Ability to create customized Netsuite reports if needed
Excellent Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, SumIf etc.)
Possess a positive and proactive attitude
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and tasks
Self-directed with the ability to lead the US GL team to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
Strong collaboration and cross-functional communications skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent analytical skills and reporting knowledge
