Job Description

As a Public Relations Manager, you’ll work hand in glove with the Director of Corporate communications to develop and execute on a global PR strategy which translates our commercial goals into compelling content that our audiences care about. You’ll take on day-to-day responsibility for managing our communications efforts in the US, delivering high-impact coverage in key business titles as well as a regular drumbeat of awareness across trade media and social channels.

Qualifications

You’re perfect for this role if you:

External relations:

  • You work on developing and securing high-level media opportunities for our senior executives in the US
  • You're a front-line communicator, able to translate our vision into a compelling narrative that our media want to hear about
  • You have great relationships with journalists at key business titles, and you’re comfortable picking up the phone to talk to them about us
  • You have a real understanding of the media agenda and an eye for areas where Tradeshift can add a meaningful contribution to the conversation
  • You're coordinating inbound requests from media. Assessing opportunities and providing recommendations on how to proceed
  • You know which speaker platforms we should be applying for, the awards we should be entering and the influencers we should be engaging with to move our brand forward

Channel amplification:

  • Ensure that we are getting the most out of our content across social and earned channels
  • You have experience running social media channels which ensure which deliver measurable impact
  • You understand how to extend the life-span of news or content through a range of owned and earned opportunities


You also have:

Content development:

  • Craft short and long-form content on behalf of our executives 
  • You’ll be experienced in interviewing executives and translating their viewpoint into editorial content
  • You’ll be confident and diplomatic when managing a diverse group of stakeholders

Agency management

  • Ensure that our US agency has a clear understanding of our objectives and is delivering against the KPIs we have set

Reporting 

  • Be an advocate for the value of PR within our business, ensuring that our internal stakeholders know what we are doing and why that matters
  • Compile regular updates which clearly show the value and impact of the work we are doing
