Who We Need

Reporting to the VP of People, the Senior Director of Global Talent Acquisition will be given the opportunity to do some really great work, we need someone excited about doing great things.  If you can bring in new ideas and new ways of doing things, know when to go with best practices and when to go and create them yourself, keep reading. We are not satisfied with the status quo and neither should you.

This role will have some great visibility to our Executive Leadership, as the entire Executive Team is very passionate about the people we hire. You will be expected to provide strategic direction, operational expertise and staffing knowledge to enable our talent team to successfully meet the expectations of our leaders/customers.

What You'll Do

  • Be a trusted Leader. Not only will you need to earn the respect of your direct team, but also the respect of our leaders. Get to know them as a person as well as a business colleague, and then display the leadership skills we hired you for.

  • Understand our business and how what you do really does helps the entire company be successful in our strategy.

  • Come up with solutions. Help us come up with the answer to complex problems, which is quite empowering.

  • Bring your whole-self, including successes and lessons learned. Help enable team members to do the same. Use your knowledge and strengths to help us hire the best possible people. 

  • Talent forecasting and planning will be very important. We will need you to partner with others in the planning, approval, and implementation of this.

  • Create a culture of operational fitness, ensuring all talent acquisition operations are efficient and delivered with excellence. A strong operational acumen is essential.

  • There are a lot of passive candidates out there, you and your team will need to source, engage, recruit, and close them.  Preferably all of them.

  • Cultivate ongoing learning and development for recruiters who are both newer to the profession and deep into their craft.

  • We like data, so you will need to provide data analysis and reporting often. We’d like to understand things like quality of hire, time to fill and diversity targets among other things.

  • Play fair. Especially with your own team, integrate and partner with HR colleagues and implement solutions while you are at it.  We all work together here. One Team, One Mission.

  • Be nice. Really, be nice.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need to Have

  • Minimum of 6 years of global recruiting experience.

  • Minimum of 6 years hiring, mentoring, and leading a team on a global basis.

  • Experience in a software or other high tech company.

  • Strong operational mindset.

  • Experience and proficiency with applicant tracking systems, we use SmartRecruiters, so if you are a master using SmartRecruiters, that would be really great.

  • Talk so people can understand what you are trying to say, these interpersonal and communication skills need to be used to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Work effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals by finding ways to help the team perform effectively, a good way to do this is by contributing ideas.

  • You will need to pay careful attention to customer needs and take action to meet or exceed customer expectations. Treating customers with a high level of respect and appreciation is a given.

  • Take calculated risks and choose options that maximize the benefits and minimize the losses for the company.  We’d rather you get a speeding ticket than a parking ticket.  It’s okay to go over the speed limit for the right reasons.
