Team. The Finance team in Tradeshift manages the finance and accounting for all our subsidiaries. We collaborate with local service providers to make sure we're compliant to regulations.

Job Description

Role. We have a need to build out our accounting team in Bucharest in support of our operational fitness goal. Presently the A/P department consists of two colleagues in Bucharest, responsible for EMEA countries.

Your job will involve invoice and payment processing, workflow management and issue resolution. Accounting skills aren't a must, but we do value customer and vendor management skills as well as a keen eye for details.
What a day is like:

  • sort, code and match invoices 
  • review invoices and request business approval for payment
  • set invoices up for payment
  • enter and upload invoices into system
  • track expenses and process expense reports
  • corporate credit card / purchase card management and processing
  • prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records (corrections, reclassifications, etc.)
  • reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • prepare analysis of accounts
  • monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • maintain vendor files and master data
  • correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • produce monthly reports
  • assist with month end closing
  • provide supporting documentation for audits
  • maintain accurate historical records

Qualifications

You’re perfect for this role if you are a flexible and proactive person, with good team working skills as well as ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks.

You have:

  • University degree in economics, accounting or business fields
  • Typically 1-4 years previous experience in business process areas as Collections, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is essential
  • Attention to detail and the desire to take responsibility for assigned vendors
  • Netsuite experience, but not required

  • Fluent English speaker (both written and spoken)
  • Good in dealing with numbers and information
  • Driven and enthusiastic personality
  • Able to work to deadlines and targets
