Job Description

In order to get there we need to scale and in order to scale we also need the right leadership in place, which means we are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join our Technical Enablement team in the Customer Support organization in Copenhagen.
You will have a small team so we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills that knows how to motivate people and to create a friendly atmosphere in a high performance environment. We are looking for someone who knows how to support and guide professional growth and individual growth and can set clear goals and expectations and knows how to give relevant feedback.In addition to people management, you will also be responsible for writing code, working alongside your team and being responsible for the quality and output. You can look at the big picture, set the technical direction of the team, analyze different situations and make decisions on the best way forward. To be successful you will need to have a deep technical knowledge and be creative while developing, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities:
People management responsibility - facilitate career growth, resolve conflicts, etc
Driving your team - work with 1-3 developers, facilitate their process, create commitment with the team on deliverables etc.
Technical development responsibility - be responsible for the technical quality of solutions that you and your team produce
Understand the business requirements and the context of your product areas
Provide input and make decisions on priorities with the help of your manager and other stakeholders
Strong sense of accountability
Be a part of a truly global organization - Tradeshift is a multicultural company with 30+ nationalities spread across offices in several time zones
Qualifications
Skills:
Strong people management skills
Strong in PHP development
Creative thinker
Strong communication skills to different audiences, whether it be to engineers or business stakeholders
Strong prioritization skills
Strong planning and organization skills
Ability to make decisions
Able to balance short term and long term deliverables
Experience:
Leadership and management of developers - diversity in experience in technologies and cultures is good
Individual contributor doing software engineering - you know your stuff and you are creative
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with agile software development processes - with the execution, organization and prioritization
Worked with SaaS solutions
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable startup culture and environment
It would be nice if you have experience with Customer Support infrastructure
