Job Description

Does complexity, ambition and creating big visions fuel your designer-mind? Can you represent design in both business discussions as well as technical discussions? Then we may have one of the most compelling UX design leadership positions available for you.

As a designer leader, you will be managing an international team of designers who work on marketplaces and financial services products in close collaboration with various product managers and engineering teams distributed across Copenhagen, Bucharest, and San Francisco. 

You will play a key role in establishing product design strategy and enabling your team to create compelling user experiences that deliver value to our users and customers. You are a compassionate leader who can manage all phases of the design process from initial strategy and product ideation through implementation, launch and following iterations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow and manage a global team of product designers.

  • Lead and participate in ideation and co-creation of design concepts.

  • Partner with product and business owners to translate and communicate business strategy into product and design requirements.

  • Lead design projects and be an expert for your product areas.

  • Mentor and coach designers on the design and research methodologies. Help select the right tools for projects of diverse scope and complexities. 

  • Help improve the design processes and collaboration with stakeholders within the company.

  • Work with other designers to establish platform design principles and evolve the design system.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience and passion designing for financial services, marketplaces, and complex B2B workflows.

  • 3-5 years of experience as a design manager.

  • 5+ years of hands on UX/UI design experience.

  • Organized and have a structured approach to your work.

  • Customer and user focussed.

  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, experience working with & contributing to design systems.

  • Portfolio showcasing your experience managing design processes, leading projects, working on complex user flows, and delivering products.
