About The Role

Tradeshift is looking for a Social and Digital Media Strategist to help build an engaged and loyal community for our social media platforms. We are looking for a true Internet native who is always up-to-date on social media trends and can work closely with content creators to recommend types of content that will be hyper-relevant to our customer base. The ideal candidate has experience running social media campaigns across multiple channels (LinkedIN, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) exceptional editorial instincts, sound judgment, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.

Job Description

  • Drive strategy and execution of integrated social media distribution and content programs which attract quality traffic to relevant digital channels

  • Measure/ track KPIs and work closely with brand marketing managers, external agencies and content specialists to track ROIDevelop and execute social media strategy.

  • Research and recommend new social media outlets.

  • Own social listening and influence the Tradeshift influencers– build online communities.

  • Create and maintain campaign calendars across all social/digital platforms.

  • Measure success and progress of media channels through social analytics platforms.

  • Ensure all content creation and social media programs are aligned and integrated with our communication and brand marketing programs.

  • Responsible to develop, implement and optimize online strategies and initiatives

  • Create and present innovative social media recommendations that may incorporate paid social, search, video, display and content marketing strategies

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with media vendors, ad tech companies and agency partners

  • Create online campaign reports and perform post-analysis verification on all buys to assess vendor compliance

  • Manage the social media calendar for all of Tradeshift’s social platforms (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, etc)

  • Be responsible for the strategic recommendation of holistic marketing plans, reporting on those results, and translating those results into actions to improve overall marketing performance

  • Stay up to date on industry trends on new platforms, creative media tools, relevant technologies and competitive information

  • Contribute to agency growth by participating in new business pitches

  • Supervise planners/buyers, coordinators and interns as needed


  • A Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing strategy or other relevant experience

  • Deep knowledge of social media best practices

  • Knowledge of paid social strategies across platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat etc.

  • Understanding of digital advertising platforms and technology (Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Snapchat Ads, etc.)

  • Experience developing media strategies and plans 

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of syndicated research and analytics platforms to inform decision making

  • Experience with Facebook Business Manager, Google Campaign Manager and a familiarity with other buying platforms

  • Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize proactively and ability to produce high- quality work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of statistics

  • Must have high attention to detail, numbers, proofreading, writing and editing skills for accuracy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills

  • Strong background in leading digital marketing strategy  content calendars, social media and blog strategy, and paid digital media plans, understanding of and familiarity with current digital marketing trends and certification in search and/or digital paid media a plus
