About The Role

Tradeshift is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and analytical Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Accounting Team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will primarily work with the U.S. based team, periodically working with our Global AP & Expenses Team based in Bucharest, Romania, and will be responsible for invoice processing, vendor payment and workflow management for our U.S. entities.

Job Description

  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation

  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies

  • Oversee invoice approval process

  • Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries from vendors and internal business partners

  • Responsible for accurate and timely payment of all incoming invoices

  • Manage employee expense reimbursements

  • Responsible for corporate credit card expenses, including journal entries and reconciliations

  • Assist in preparation of weekly check runs and initiate payments via ACH, wire and credit card

  • Responsible for annual 1099 reporting

  • Maintain vendor master data

  • Perform daily updates of bank account activity

  • Assist with month-end close, including posting journal entries and preparing account reconciliations

  • Identify and implement process improvements

  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized in a face-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively with team members spanning multiple time zones 

  • Consistently meet deadlines and drive process improvements

  • Experience with NetSuite and Expensify required

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
