Job Description

As the Senior Communications Manager, you will be directly responsible for leading Tripping.com’s external communications efforts, driving consistent media coverage, developing a thought-leadership position for Tripping.com and its executives, and crafting consumer campaigns that resonate with our target audiences.

You’ll also partner to drive brand development and storytelling efforts across public relations, content, and social media. This position requires a combination of strategic acumen and strong execution, working closely with individuals from across the organization to develop compelling brand and data-driven stories, then securing placement/coverage of in key media.

Responsibilities:

  • Set a strategic vision for communications globally, greatly increasing Tripping.com’s visibility in key media outlets & with key audiences
  • With your network of senior media contacts you will build high level relationships that result in ongoing coverage of Tripping.com
  • Support the VP of Marketing in developing and executing on brand strategy and the telling of our brand story
  • Drive visibility of Tripping.com as a thought leader in the travel space and position Tripping.com as a go-to source for industry knowledge/insights
  • Collaborate with our customer acquisition team to identify and execute on content and social campaigns that raise awareness of Tripping.com and deliver our brand story to key audiences
  • Actively source and leverage our data to drive new storylines and a consistent drumbeat of coverage

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years experience in communications/public relations roles with progressively expanding responsibilities.
  • Experience in crafting media relations strategy, setting goals and driving to results in fast-paced, rapid-growth organizations.
  • You have acted as a spokesperson on national stories and have built relationships with some of the biggest media influencers in the world, and are comfortable supporting the company’s leaders by drafting op-eds, media quotes, presentations, speeches, etc…
  • You are the kind of person who sees solutions everywhere and has innovative ideas on how to use communications, media and storytelling to win local, national and international coverage.
  • Collaborative, cooperative, and caring in your relationships with colleagues.
