Do you love creating high quality, compelling content at scale and have a passion for travel? Have a knack for understanding data and optimizing workflows with partners and freelancers? Then here’s your chance to join our team and make a meaningful impact to our organic growth business while helping our users learn about travel tips and finding that perfect vacation rental. You’ll be bringing your strong editorial, SEO knowledge, project management, and data skills to ensure we meet our content forecast and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the editorial calendar for content and deliverables across the company.

  • Own the overall management of content resources, including partners and freelancers.

  • Create and prioritize the writing assignments and queue for freelancers and partners.

  • Ensure content production meets quality standards, projected volume, and price forecast

  • Onboard and train new vendors / writers via editorial guidelines, manuals and examples.

  • Communicate and coordinate between internal teams to ensure everyone is in sync

  • Identify content that should be improved or updated and add it to the content queue.

  • Report on key content metrics that are critical for content production and the business.

  • Work in content product tools and CMS systems as needed for publication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a content manager or editorial project manager role

  • Proven track record recruiting, motivating and managing writers to produce quality content

  • Experience managing editorial budgets and freelancer payments

  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at a time

  • Obsessive attention to detail with outstanding proofreading, fact checking and editing skills

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret content-related data, including content performance, SEO effectiveness and workflow efficiency.

  • Strong familiarity with content management tools, including WordPress.

  • Understanding of SEO as it relates to organic traffic growth, in addition to analysis tools such as Google Analytics and Keyword Planner.

  • Knowledge of basic HTML
