Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced ECC Project Manager to join the Project team with the intent of managing all of our future ECC commissions within the Central South region

This person would be expected to oversee and manage a team of less experienced ECC PM’s with a view of developing their core skills, experience and ability with the intention of developing a capable team.
 

Qualifications

  • Experienced in project management of complex infrastructure schemes through their whole project lifecycle
  • Communication and information management 
  • Management of the technical aspects of design, procurement, implementation and close-out in accordance with the programme 
  • Co-ordination of all relevant parties of the project from inception to closeout 
  • Assist clients in defining project requirements
  • Contractual Procurement and contract administration 
  • Experienced in NEC 3 in particular in Options A to C
  • Facilitate and lead value management and value engineering exercises
  • Manage budgets 
  • Stakeholder management and co-ordination of third party interfaces
  • Risk management and application of lessons learned
  • Building, managing and leadership of multi-disciplined teams
  • Experienced in developing relationships and contacts
  • Key Clients. Infrastructure projects are typically complex and involve engagement and co-ordination of a large number of stakeholders.
  • Our project managers can be asked to act on behalf of our clients, lead negotiations and co-ordinate client and supplier teams. 
  • Design Management experience

Additional Information

Hybrid working patterns are envisaged but this may vary in accordance with the requirements of Turner & Townsend or clients. Candidates must be able to work at their designated home office as required. Given the current laydown of our Team and clients, it would be strongly preferred for candidates to be based in London / Bristol / Birmingham / Manchester, although applicants who are based elsewhere may still be considered. In addition candidates must be able to travel to client sites throughout the UK and potentially internationally; the bulk of our current work in the defence sector is at sites in the south of England.

Security clearances will be required in order to work with a number of our defence sector clients. Successful candidates will be expected to apply for, or maintain existing, security cleared status.
