Job Description

Twin Technologies is looking for a Project Manager capable of managing multiple projects as part of a team. This person should possess strong Agile / Scrum experience, and be able to fill either the Product Owner or Scrum Master roles for a project.

As a Product Owner, the Project Manager will be tasked with acquiring, developing, and prioritizing the definition for a project -- so that the delivery team has a backlog of well-defined work items to pull from.  This includes interviewing project stakeholders to discuss feature sets and project goals, reviewing existing project documentation and artifacts (ex. project charters, requirement documents, comps / wireframe, user stores) to understand project scope, and using this information to develop user stories and supporting project documentation that is both approved by the client and actionable by the delivery team.

As Scrum Master, the Project Manager will be tasked with running the project following Agile best practices.  This includes leading the daily stand-ups, sprint-planning, retrospectives, and status communication with project stakeholders.  It also includes daily interactions with our delivery team to ensure that sprints are moving as expected, impediments to delivery are addressed, and that the team is delivering to expectations.

  • Minimum of five years experience leading project teams using Agile / Scrum

  • Experience in a professional services, client-facing environment

  • Able to work effectively with a variety of personality types in a consultative environment

  • Clear understanding between the differences between SM and PM and able to balance the difference in hybrid project in order to get the best results from project team members

  • Identify risks / gaps, create mitigation plans for each, and escalate to the client and project leadership based on impact and priority

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Quality minded -- and understands how to empower teams to deliver quality sprint by sprint

  • Ability to manage remote / virtual project teams in a fast-paced delivery environment

  • Experience managing QA / UAT activities -- from test planning, to formal QA, to UAT -- and able to take feedback and incorporate it into future sprints

  • Able to adapt quickly to changing customer priorities across multiple projects

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope for projects that are loosely defined (from an idea or charter, to foundational requirements, to epics, and finally to actionable user stories that can be handed to the delivery team)

  • Ability to iterate through requirements as they become available from the client, identify what is actionable and what requires more definition, and prioritize accordingly

  • Communicate effectively across all facets of the team, and establish a communication plan to facilitate status and cadence between the project team and our customers

  • Experience with managing projects utilizing web and mobile technologies (knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and web frameworks is a plus)

  • Experience with product management and strategic analysis

  • Working knowledge and experience with retail / eCommerce preferred but not necessary

  • Experience with creating and maintaining product roadmaps

  • Experience with a variety of agile methodologies

  • Able to use JIRA and other tools utilized in agile environment

  • Well versed in a variety of estimation techniques

  • Interview project stakeholders / clients to acquire feature definition and priority

  • Author user stories from project assets (requirements, wireframes, etc).

  • Facilitate the creation of project requirements and supporting assets (including requirements documentation, wireframes, etc)

  • Work with the delivery team and project stakeholders to author a “Definition of Ready” and “Definition of Done” for each project

  • Work with customers to establish work priorities for a given project

  • Conduct sprint planning, facilitate work-task estimation with the delivery team, and track / report on the velocity of a given sprint

  • Establish and develop engagement reports describing status, schedule, and velocity

  • Facilitate sprint retrospectives with the delivery team -- including collecting and acting upon lessons learned to improve overall efficiency and team velocity
