Job Description

The University of New Mexico's department of UNMTemps Services is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Distance Education Coordinator with the Project ECHO.

Project ECHO started as a way to meet local healthcare needs. By putting local clinicians together with specialist teams at academic medical centers in weekly virtual clinics or teleECHO clinics, Project ECHO shares knowledge and expands treatment capacity. What's more, Project ECHO has expanded across diseases and specialties, across urban and rural locales, across different types of delivery services, and even across the globe. Today, Project ECHO operates 39 hubs for nearly 30 diseases and conditions in 22 states and five countries outside the U.S., including sites within the Department of Defense healthcare systems.

 Responsibilities Include:
Provides administrative and operational support for teleECHO clinics; coordinates communication and information flow between participating
sites ("spokes", typically healthcare
professionals distributed geographically)
and Project ECHO.

Coordinates development and publication of
agendas, didactic presentations, and other training
materials or events with Project ECHO medical faculty and staff

Coordinates teleECHO clinic activities, which may include the logistics for distance delivery technologies, facilitates and enhances day-to-day operating relations with site coordinators, as appropriate to the position.

Coordinates the development and preparation of marketing and promotional plans and/or
materials, as appropriate to the program.

Facilitates registration of participating sites

Provides administrative and informational support and guidance to participating sites and healthcare personnel at those sites, as appropriate to the position; may serve as administrative liaison between sites, Project ECHO faculty and staff, as appropriate.

Conducts surveys and feasibility studies for improvement of services.

May supervise and/or lead lower graded staff and/or student employees     

The department is looking for someone who is tech savvy and a quick learner. Also someone who is very organized and who has great communication skills.

 Days & Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm     

Anticipated Start Date: 06/15/2015      

 Projected End Date: 12/14/2015 possible temp-to-hire(UNMTemps assignments may end with little or no advance notice)

 Parking Arrangements: Responsibility of employee     

UNMTemps provides staffing solutions to departments requesting temporary employees as positions become available due to a vacancy, when regular employees are absent, for peak work periods, and for special events. UNMTemps assignments/positions are non-benefits eligible.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with clinical data collection.
Experience in clinical settings
Experience organizing and coordinating educational presentations.
Ability to communicate in a friendly approach and appropriate manner with healthcare providers in rural and underserved clinics and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate best practice in desease management.
 Experience with customer service
