Job Description

Performs a variety of skilled tasks necessary for the fabrication of complete dentures, removable partial dentures and other removable dental appliances. Setting of denture teeth, process and finishing denture/removable dentures, wire bending and the use acrylic resins and artificial stones in the fabrication of other removable appliance.


Job Duties:


Displays advanced technical skills in the manufacture of dental prosthetic restorations. Responsibilities include providing necessary skills in the manufacture of complicated dental prosthetic restorations.   


Provides managerial control of laboratory equipment and supplies pertaining to a dental laboratory. Maintains stock at a proper level.  


Checks all equipment periodically for safe and proper operation. Maintains and ensure safety procedures and precautions in the dental laboratory.   


Provides guidance and laboratory support for students and faculty. Collaborates with academic staff in educational/research projects related to dental.   


Perform a variety of skilled tasks necessary for the fabrication of complete dentures, removable partial dentures, and other dental appliances. Utilizes chrome, non-precious metal, artificial stone, and acrylic resins in fabrication dental restorations.   


 Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:


May just be starting training or is eligible for certification as a Certified Dental Technician by the National Board of Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology. High School Diploma or GED with one year of experience in a dental prosthetic lab is required.
