Job Description

Assists in planning, as well as, participation in the daily operation of a research core facility.

Responsibilities include performing routine technical core procedures, maintaining instrumentation, operation of specialized equipment, and collection of data.

Assists in monitoring the core facility with ongoing equipment usage and helps compile data for reporting purposes.

Requiring an experienced knowledge of fundamental techniques and practices related to a particular scientific field, preferably in molecular biology.

Assisting the lab manager with day to day operations along with performing advanced assays using high through-put, with state of the art platforms.

Development and performance of technical procedures (SOPs) requiring significant technical skills and/or specialized training.

This position requires proof of pre-hire immunizations and testing.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelors degree with major coursework in the field of assignment, with 1 year of laboratory experience to core activities; or an Associates degree with major coursework in the field of assignment with three years of laboratory research experience.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree with major coursework in the field of assignment with 2-3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in molecular biology.
